Role/Teamoverview
TheTechnical Security Systems Manager plays a key role in keepingSky’s physical security technology resilient, compliant andoperational. Sitting within Workplace Technology and reporting tothe Technical Security Operations Manager, this role leads thetechnical management of Sky’s electronic security systems,including access control, CCTV, intruder, intercom and integratedplatforms. You’ll work closely with the Technical Security Team whoare responsible for the operation, support and continuousimprovement of Sky’s physical security systems and platforms. Theteam supports these critical services across the estate ensuringsystems remain available, secure and aligned to business, audit andcyberrequirements.
Whatyou’ll do
- Lead the implementation, management, supportand innovation of Sky’s electronic security systems, includingaccess control, CCTV, intruder, intercom and integratedplatforms.
- Ensureelectronic security systems and associated applications remainoperational, supported and available to meet businessneeds.
- Oversee accesscontrol and CCTV platform changes to support business moves,changes and operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate system data, documentation,procedures and configuration records in line with standards,stakeholder, audit and compliancerequirements.
- Managesystem platform patching, vulnerabilities, certifications andlifecycle activities.
- Generate reports, support audits and providetechnical guidance to help the business manage security risk andperformance.
Whatyou’llbring
Essentialcriteria:
- Degree-level qualification or equivalenttechnical experience in electronic security systems, technologyplatforms or a related discipline
- Strong technical knowledge of access control,CCTV, intruder detection, intercoms, integrated security platformsand associated physical securityinfrastructure.
- Enterprise-level experience supporting Leneland Genetec applications, including system configuration,maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience in IT security, networking, serverdiagnostics, system hardening, patching and vulnerabilitymanagement.
- Desirableskills and experience:
- Experience of change management, documentcontrol, audits, reporting and maintaining accurate operationalrecords.
- Ability toanalyse complex technical issues, identify risk and recommendpractical mitigation options.
- Strong communication and stakeholdermanagement skills, with the confidence to work with internal teams,external suppliers and specialistcontractors.
- Highlymotivated self-starter who can plan, organise and prioritise workeffectively within a small, experiencedteam.
Desirableskills and experience:

Yourofficebase
Osterleywill be the main office base for this role. Travel to other Skysites will be required from time to time to support projects,audits, incidents, supplier activity and businessrequirements.
