The Opportunity


Reporting into the Finance Director and managing a small team, you’ll take ownership of financial reporting, audit, controls, budgeting and forecasting, whilst overseeing a small finance team, including payroll.


You’ll be a visible leader across the organisation, providing financial insight, challenge and support to help drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.

  • Own budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.

  • Manage year-end close, statutory accounts and external audit relationships.

  • Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks are maintained.

  • Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and effective controls.

  • Lead, develop and mentor a small finance team.

  • Drive finance transformation, systems improvements and process efficiencies.

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to improve financial performance and support strategic decision-making.

  • Deliver meaningful financial insight that helps maximise organisational impact.


About You



  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.

  • Demonstrable people leadership experience required (121’s, appraisals etc)

  • Strong financial reporting and technical accounting experience.

  • Proven experience managing audits, budgets and forecasting cycles.

  • Previous leadership experience within a finance function.

  • Experience overseeing payroll and finance operations.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • A proactive leader who enjoys improving processes and developing people.

  • Passionate about working within a purpose-driven environment.
