We are looking for an experienced Interim Finance Director to join a high-growth, complex insurance business operating across multiple product lines. Reporting directly to the CFO and CEO and working closely with Group Finance, you will provide commercial insight, strengthen financial performance and controls, and lead the finance function through a period of operational and strategic change.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the trusted finance partner to the senior leadership team, providing commercial challenge and strategic insight.
- Drive a robust monthly performance reporting cycle, delivering clear analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Improve management information, reporting quality and financial visibility across the business.
- Strengthen cash flow, working capital management and forecasting processes.
- Oversee accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting.Lead finance input into transformation, process improvement and systems change initiatives.
- Assess, develop and support the finance team while creating a seamless handover for a permanent Finance Director.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with proven Finance Director or senior finance leadership experience.
- Strong background in insurance, MGA, broking or regulated financial services environments is essential
- Expertise across FP&A, financial control, forecasting and performance reporting.
- Track record of delivering finance transformation, process improvements and change programmes.Commercially astute leader with strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
