Site Manager – SC Cleared – MOD Site, Berkshire

We are currently seeking an experienced SC Cleared Site Manager for a 4–6 week contract based on an MOD site in Berkshire, working on a construction project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with the required quality and programme standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily site operations.
• Supervise subcontractors, trades, and site personnel.
• Oversee construction activities and ensure works are delivered to specification.
• Oversee temporary works installation and ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with approved designs and procedures.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.
• Monitor progress and report any issues or delays.
• Coordinate site logistics, deliveries, materials, and plant.
• Ensure compliance with RAMS, health & safety procedures, and site requirements.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site inspections.
• Maintain accurate site records and daily reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager.
• Valid SC Clearance is essential.
• Previous experience working on MOD sites is highly advantageous.
• Construction experience is essential.
• Experience overseeing temporary works is desirable.
• Strong health & safety knowledge.
• Excellent subcontractor and workforce management skills.
• CSCS and SMSTS required.
• First Aid advantageous.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Contract: 4–6 weeks

Location: Berkshire – MOD Site

Rate: £300–£325 per day

SC Clearance: Essential

MOD Experience: Advantageous
