Senior Project Manager – Software Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager specializing in Software Development to lead their product development teams in a remote-first setting. This role is critical for guiding the delivery of innovative software solutions from concept to market. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, managing agile processes, coordinating engineering efforts, and ensuring the timely release of high-quality products that meet customer needs and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple software development projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) from inception to deployment.
• Manage project scope, timelines, resources, and budgets for software development initiatives.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, QA teams, and stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize backlog items.
• Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies within the software development process.
• Ensure the delivery of well-tested, high-quality software products, focusing on continuous integration and delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, specifically within software development environments.
• Proven experience leading Agile/Scrum teams and facilitating ceremonies.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and related technologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
