Site Manager – Groundworks

Location: Taunton Rate: £270-£330 per day (DOE) – Negotiable Start: Immediate Duration: 12 Months Minimum / Ongoing IR35: Outside IR35

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a very large and successful groundworks contractor on an industrial groundworks package in the Taunton area.

The project offers a minimum of 12 months’ work, with further packages already available to move onto for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day groundworks activities on site.
• Coordinate site teams, labour, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required standard.
• Monitor progress, quality and Health & Safety.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers and wider site team.
• Work alongside another Site Manager to manage the package effectively.

Requirements

• Previous Site Manager experience within groundworks.
• Strong groundworks background, ideally on industrial projects.
• SMSTS – Essential.
• CSCS – Essential.
• First Aid at Work – Desirable.
• Other relevant tickets and qualifications are useful.
