About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a fully remote position. This critical role will lead the electrical design initiatives for groundbreaking product development projects. You will be responsible for the entire design lifecycle, from conceptualization and schematic capture to component selection and validation, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with product managers, hardware engineers, and manufacturing teams to bring innovative solutions to market. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design and development of complex electronic systems and circuit boards.
- Create detailed schematics, perform component selection, and conduct thorough design reviews.
- Analyze and optimize power distribution, signal integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
- Develop and execute test plans for electrical designs, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams through virtual communication channels.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the establishment of best practices in electrical design.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in electrical hardware design.
- Proven track record of designing complex analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Expertise in PCB layout considerations and experience with EDA tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence).
- Strong understanding of power management techniques and system-level design.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and remote collaboration skills, supporting work from Randburg or anywhere.
