Governance & Committee Support Officer – Temp-to-Perm

Basildon Borough Council is seeking a Governance Officer to support democratic processes, provide committee and executive support, and ensure meetings are compliant and well managed. The role involves agenda preparation, minute production and communications within a small governance team.

The successful candidate will be onsite at least three days per week and handle training coordination, external body appointments, and data protection duties.
