Delivery Manager

Company: G.Digital
Apply for the Delivery Manager
Location: West Yorkshire
Job Description:

We’re supporting a growing digital consultancy that’s working with organisations on some genuinely complex challenges.

They help their clients make sense of difficult problems, shape the right solutions and then actually make them happen.

The best bit?

They’re growing and want a Senior Delivery Manager to join the team!

Why this org?

They’re not interested in being another consultancy that rolls in with a huge team, creates a mountain of PowerPoint slides and disappears again (you know the ones)

For them, they want to build long-term relationships with clients, become trusted partners and work alongside them to solve problems that genuinely matter.

This means that the work is super varied – One day you might be helping a client define a new digital capability then working with a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver it the next.

What I think is a major selling point is the fact you’ll have a voice

You won’t be a tiny cog in a massive machine, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how they work, how they deliver to their clients and how they build the delivery capability.

The ideal person will bring ideas, challenge them when you think they could do something better and are excited by the opportunity to help shape what comes next.

The role

As a Senior Delivery Manager you’ll be at the heart of their client engagements and bringing together strategy, people, technology and delivery to turn ambitious ideas into tangible outcomes.

  • You’ll lead multidisciplinary digital and engineering teams and work closely with clients to make sure everyone understands what you’re trying to achieve, why it matters and how you’re going to get there.
  • You’ll be the person who can walk into a complicated situation, ask the right questions, create some clarity and get everyone moving in the same direction.
  • You’ll manage the inevitable blockers, dependencies and competing priorities, while keeping sight of the bigger picture.
  • You’ll also have a genuine seat at the table with senior stakeholders – you’ll be trusted to build relationships, influence decisions, challenge thinking and have the conversations that need to be had

What makes this role different?

  • You’ll work with brilliant people
  • And you’ll help them to grow

What you’ll bring

They’re looking for someone who knows delivery inside out and who understands that great delivery is ultimately about people.

  • Leading multidisciplinary digital and engineering teams.
  • Working directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Taking strategic objectives and turning them into clear, achievable workstreams.
  • Creating clarity when requirements or solutions aren’t fully defined.
  • Navigating complex organisations and competing priorities.
  • Managing risks, dependencies and blockers without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Helping teams work effectively and continuously improve.
  • Moving between the strategic and the detail, knowing when each is needed.
  • Adapting your approach rather than blindly following a particular Agile framework.

You’ll also need to be a really good human!

They’re looking for someone who’s collaborative, curious and pragmatic

In addition, someone who listens, asks good questions and isn’t afraid to say, “I don’t think that’s going to work, here’s what I’d do instead.”

  • Salary up to £72k
  • Flexible working

So, if you’re the person people call when things have got a bit messy, I’d love to speak with you!
