About the role:
Sage Homes are looking for a commercially focused FP&A Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, performance reporting and business partnering activities across the organisation. The role will play a key part in delivering high-quality financial insight, supporting decision-making and driving continuous improvement within the FP&A function.
Working closely with operational and corporate stakeholders, the successful candidate will be responsible for analysing financial performance, challenging assumptions and contributing to budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning processes.
The role is on a hybrid contract, 3 days per week in our Northampton office and 2 days remotely if required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term business planning processes.
- Produce monthly management information, performance reporting and variance analysis, ensuring financial data is accurate and timely.
- Develop financial models and undertake scenario analysis to support business cases, investment appraisals and key decision-making.
- Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to drive business performance.
- Partner with budget holders and stakeholders, providing financial challenge, insight and guidance.
- Prepare Board, Executive and management reporting, while supporting continuous improvements to FP&A processes, systems and reporting.
About you
- Proven experience within FP&A, Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering.
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful business insights.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and management reporting processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and present financial information to non-financial audiences.
- Experience preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership and Board-level stakeholders.
- Professionally qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience (ACA, CIMA or equivalent), with a commercial and solutions-focused mindset
