Veterinary Surgeon – Salisbury

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join an established small animal practice in Salisbury. With a strong clinical team, an excellent workplace culture and an exciting period of development ahead, the practice is looking for someone who can bring experience, fresh ideas and a genuine interest in helping shape its next chapter.
The role would suit a confident clinician who enjoys first-opinion work and is comfortable consulting, undertaking general surgery and working independently when required. Sole-charge experience is important, alongside an enthusiasm for maintaining high clinical standards and contributing ideas that can help the practice continue to progress.
The position is offered on a part-time basis, with shifts generally running from 9am to 7pm. There are no out-of-hours duties or Sunday work, and the practice is open to discussing flexible working arrangements to find a pattern that works well for the successful candidate.
This is a busy and well-established practice with more than 16 years of history and a loyal client base. A number of team members have been part of the practice since it first opened, reflecting the supportive culture and positive working environment. Following a recent refurbishment, the practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, dental facilities, in-house laboratory equipment and modern surgical facilities, allowing the team to provide a broad range of high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate will have a few years experience as a qualified Veterinary Surgeon in the UK. They will be confident and motivated, with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues. Most importantly, they will have the enthusiasm and ambition to contribute ideas, support clinical development and play an active part in the future direction of the practice.
The package includes a salary of up to £75,000 FTE, dependent on experience, together with a generous CPD allowance and full support for certificate development. Professional memberships including RCVS, BVA and VDS are covered, and relocation assistance is also available.
The practice is situated on a popular retail park in the historic city of Salisbury. The surrounding area offers easy access to the Wiltshire countryside and New Forest, while the coast is around 30 minutes away. London can also be reached in just over an hour by train, making the location an attractive option for both work and lifestyle.
