Role Description
The Relief Pharmacist Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Burns Pharmacy and Clarke’s Chemist in Glasgow. The Relief Pharmacist Manager will supervise and support pharmacy technicians and other team members, ensure compliance with legal, professional, and company standards, and maintain accurate records and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities also include managing stock levels, supporting immunization services where applicable, resolving clinical and operational issues, and promoting high-quality, person-centered care. The position requires stepping in to manage the pharmacy during periods of absence or increased demand, maintaining continuity of service and consistent leadership.
Qualifications
- Current registration as a Pharmacist with the GPHC and eligibility to practice in the United Kingdom.
- Applicant must either have IP qualification or be willing to work towards it.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with patients, prescribers, and team members.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a pharmacist manager or supervisory role in community pharmacy is highly beneficial.
