Superintendent Pharmacist

I am representing a rapidly growing, technology-led healthcare organisation seeking an experienced Superintendent Pharmacist to lead clinical governance, regulatory compliance and professional standards across a high-volume digital pharmacy operation.

This is a senior leadership opportunity where you will work closely with clinical and operational leadership, helping shape pharmacy strategy, governance, technology and future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead clinical governance and professional standards across the pharmacy
• Ensure compliance with GPhC, MHRA and relevant regulations
• Oversee Controlled Drugs governance and record-keeping
• Lead and develop a large pharmacy team
• Maintain SOPs, systems and competency frameworks
• Prepare for and support regulatory inspections and audits
• Identify opportunities for technology, automation and operational improvements
• Support the development and expansion of pharmacy services

Essential Experience

• Current GPhC registration
• Previous Superintendent Pharmacist or senior pharmacy leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of GPhC standards and pharmacy governance
• Experience with Controlled Drugs governance
• Experience in a high-volume pharmacy environment
• Regulatory inspection and audit experience
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Desirable: Online/digital pharmacy, private healthcare, medical cannabis, multi-site operations or pharmacy technology experience.

• £100,000-£110,000 salary
