Highways Senior Engineer in Milton Keynes

Job Description

A major civil engineering contractor is recruiting for a Senior Engineer to support the delivery of a significant highways infrastructure project in Milton Keynes. This is an opportunity to join the scheme at an early stage and play a key role throughout delivery.

The Senior Engineer will be site office based and responsible for engineering management and technical support across the project.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing engineering activities across allocated works
• Reviewing and coordinating construction drawings
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with specifications and design requirements
• Supporting site teams with technical queries
• Managing setting out activities and checking procedures
• Maintaining construction records and engineering documentation
• Coordinating with design and delivery teams
• Supporting project planning and progress reporting

What you’d need to succeed:

• Experience as a Senior Engineer or strong Section Engineer within civil engineering projects
• Highways, infrastructure or general civils experience
• Strong setting out background
• Experience managing drawings and technical documentation
• Proficient with engineering and surveying equipment
• CSCS qualification
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
