Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer

We are currently recruiting for experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineers to join a growing Active Fire & Security team, covering the North West and Yorkshire & Humber.

About the Role

This is a field-based role working across an existing customer base, carrying out installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs and fault-finding across a range of fire and security systems.

Responsibilities

• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire alarm systems
• Fault finding, repairs and troubleshooting
• Working on intruder alarms, CCTV and access control
• Carrying out site surveys and small installation projects
• Completing preventative maintenance and system modifications
• Maintaining accurate service reports and compliance documentation
• Liaising directly with customers and the office
• Identifying additional works and opportunities
• Participating in call-out and out-of-hours standby rotas

About You

• Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer / Commissioning Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with fire alarm and intruder alarm systems – essential
• Installation, commissioning and maintenance experience
• Good electrical and fault-finding knowledge
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Full UK driving licence
• ECS, IPAF and PASMA qualifications are desirable
