About the Job

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced business development and marketing professional to join a busy, high-performing team supporting strategic growth initiatives, client development activities, pitches, events, and profile-raising campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Business Development Directors, Managers, and senior stakeholders with a broad range of marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Coordinate client-facing events, seminars, and educational programmes, working closely with lawyers and internal events teams.
  • Prepare and develop content for pitches, proposals, presentations, and formal RFP submissions.
  • Conduct market, client, competitor, and sector research to identify business development opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor industry trends and provide insight and analysis to support practice group growth plans.
  • Maintain and update practice group marketing materials, rankings submissions, matter descriptions, and other profile-raising content.
  • Manage sponsorship opportunities and oversee associated logistics and stakeholder engagement.
  • Draft and maintain lawyer biographies, client communications, internal updates, and marketing collateral.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of four years’ business development and marketing experience within a law firm or wider professional services environment.
  • Strong experience supporting pitches, proposals, events, and client development activities.
  • Excellent written communication, proofreading, research, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and online research tools.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work closely with senior professionals and partners.
  • Able to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
