Youth Support Worker – Semi-Independent Living
Bristol & Gloucestershire Pay: £12.40/hour weekdays * £13.40/hour weekends
Support young people aged 16-18+ in semi-independent homes, helping them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
Role Summary
- deliver key-work sessions and day-to-day support.
- Promote education, training, healthy routines, and positive decision-making.
- Safeguard young people and report concerns promptly.
- Support with daily tasks, appointments, and independent living skills.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and meetings.
- Build strong relationships with young people, staff, and external agencies.
- Facilitate house meetings and encourage participation.
- Work flexibly, including covering shifts and supporting other homes when needed.
Requirements
- 1 year’s experience with young people (desirable).
- Willing to work towards QCF/NVQ Level 3.
- Ability to lone-work; sleep-ins may be required.
- Enhanced DBS required.
- Flexibility around rota changes and bank holidays.
