We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Child Protection Inquiry Team in Birmingham. As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead complex case assessments, provide expert guidance to junior staff, and collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure the safety and well-being of children at risk.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments and investigations in line with child protection policies.
- Developing and implementing care plans that prioritize the best interests of children.
- Providing supervision and support to less experienced social workers and students.
- Engaging with families, children, and external agencies to facilitate effective interventions.
- Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for court proceedings as required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
