Unqualified Teachers wanted for London secondary schools

Principal Education is looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to work as unqualified teachers and cover supervisors in secondary schools across London. These are flexible, daily supply roles you choose when you re available.

The role:

As a cover supervisor, you ll manage a classroom in the absence of the teacher, delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring a safe, positive learning environment. You won t be expected to plan or teach lessons, but you ll play a key role in supporting pupils learning and behaviour.

What you MUST demonstrate:

• Right to work in the UK
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to support pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
• Flexibility, adaptability, and confidence to think on your feet
• Calmness under pressure
• An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new application.
• Overseas police clearance if you ve lived abroad for 6+ months in the last 5 years
• Based in London or within a commutable distance

Pay and benefits:

• £110 £140 per day for flexible daily cover, depending on experience
• Higher pay rates for ongoing roles, aligned with the unqualified teacher pay scale (see guidance here)
