Overview
As a Business Development Manager at the EIU, you will drive growth by selling macro-economic and political insights to Fortune 100/500 and other major accounts. You will lead the full sales cycle, from discovery to closing, and build a robust pipeline through prospecting and on-marketing follow-ups. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor solutions that address client challenges. This role offers the chance to shape how top organisations leverage trusted intelligence to navigate global opportunities, in a hybrid, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Acquire new logos and expand existing contracts by closing sales and managing accounts within a defined territory
- Conduct thorough discovery to identify client problems and map them to EIU solutions
- Own the full sales cycle and coordinate with internal resources as needed
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through cold outreach and marketing-generated leads
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and propose growth ideas and contingency plans
- Meet KPIs and uphold EIU standards through proactive activity
- Enhance product and industry knowledge while addressing client pain points
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental and personal objectives
Key requirements
- Extensive experience in enterprise sales or strategic business development with a proven growth track record
- Proven success in closing new business contracts via cold calling
- Excellent communication, presentation, listening, negotiation, and closing abilities
- History of exceeding sales quotas
