Part-Qualified Accountant Derry/L’Derry (Practice Experience Needed)
We are delighted to be partnering with an established and growing accountancy practice to recruit a Part-Qualified Accountant for their team.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a friendly team of around 15, offering a varied role across accounts preparation, taxation, audit and client management. You’ll work with a diverse portfolio of clients and play an important role in delivering a high-quality accounting service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Prepare and submit corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Work with a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors
- Act as a key point of contact for clients
- Provide general accounting and business advice to clients
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Support the wider team with general accounting and practice-based activities
Who We’re Looking For
- IATI Qualified, part-qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, or qualified by experience
- Previous experience within a small or medium-sized accountancy practice
- Strong experience in accounts preparation for companies and sole traders
- Audit experience would be desirable
- Good working knowledge of accounting software, including Sage, Xero or similar
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
