About you
- Previous experience in transport planning or transport office roles within freight, logistics, or distribution
- Strong knowledge of drivers’ hours, tachograph, and WTD regulations
- Excellent planning and organisation skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Confident communicator, skilled in liaising with drivers, customers, and agents
- Commercially aware, with a focus on balancing cost and service
- Proficient in transport routing software and standard Microsoft Office applications
- Full driving licence
What you’ll do
- Plan and coordinate daily routes and loads to optimise efficiency and ensure timely deliveries
- Allocate work effectively across the fleet and driver teams, adapting plans as operational demands change
- Maintain ongoing communication with drivers and resolve operational issues promptly
- Serve as a point of contact for customer and internal delivery queries
- Ensure compliance with drivers’ hours, tachograph, and WTD regulations during planning
- Track deliveries, update systems, and keep clients informed of progress
- Manage collection and delivery bookings with customers and external partners
- Support compliance procedures and maintain accurate planning records
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost reductions
