Your New Role
This is a hands-on technical role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting the smooth running of manufacturing machinery to deliver high-quality products.
Whilst on shift your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Support the operation of machines to maintain safe and efficient production * Carry out changeovers and settings (training provided) * Repair faults quickly to minimise downtime and maintain output targets * Monitor quality and correct issues such as defects, issues and faults * Work closely with Process Operators and Team Leaders to keep machines running * Complete basic checks and reporting (downtime, faults, quality issues) * Follow safe systems of work, procedures and housekeeping standards (5S) * Machine line support and setup * Raw material preparation support * Troubleshooting and minor mechanical adjustments * Quality checks and fault investigation.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Experience in manufacturing maintenance or machine fixing would be highly advantageous * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to react quickly to issues * Good attention to detail and quality focus * Ability to work safely, follow procedures and communicate effectively * Teamwork mindset and willingness to support across the shift * Comfortable working in a shift-based environment.

This role offers a technical role within a well-established manufacturing business across a 4 day working week. The regular hours of work are Monday – Wednesday 08:00 – 20:00 + Thursday 08:00 – 17:00 for an hourly rate of £13.84. This role offers you the opportunity to develop your skills in basic machinery maintenance in a supportive environment and could lead to progression opportunities within the business.
