The organisation plays an important role in supporting projects that deliver positive outcomes for local communities, helping organisations access funding to develop facilities, services and community-led initiatives.
We are currently recruiting for a Grant Applications Auditor to join the team on a temporary basis for an initial 3-month period.
The Role:
As Grant Applications Auditor, you will be responsible for reviewing and auditing grant applications, ensuring information and supporting documentation is accurate, complete and meets the required criteria.
Key responsibilities will include:
Reviewing grant applications and supporting documentation against relevant criteria and requirements
Checking financial information and supporting evidence for accuracy and completeness
Identifying any discrepancies, missing information or areas requiring further clarification
Carrying out detailed checks to ensure applications meet funding requirements
Recording findings accurately and maintaining clear audit trails
Liaising with applicants and relevant stakeholders to request additional information where required
Supporting the assessment and processing of applications within agreed timescales
Maintaining accurate records and updating internal databases and systems
Preparing information and reports as required
Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure applications are processed efficiently and consistently
Adhering to organisational policies, procedures and data protection requirements
The Person:
Essential:
Previous experience in an administrative, compliance, audit, or grant-related role
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and inaccuracies
Experience reviewing information and supporting documentation against set criteria
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
Desirable:
Previous experience working with grant applications or funding programmes
Experience within the charity, community, public or voluntary sector
Experience of financial checking, compliance or auditing
Knowledge of community or capital funding programmes
