Conflicts LawyerLondonn Hybrid (2 days in office)

n We’re working with a leading international law firm looking to strengthen its London-based conflicts team as part of continued investment in its global risk function.

n This is a brilliant opportunity to join a highly collaborative, multi-jurisdictional team, working closely with colleagues across the UK, US and APAC. You’ll play a key role in supporting the firm’s approach to client onboarding, new matters, and broader risk management.

n This is a truly technical role, looking for someone with a strong commercial accumen and ability to dive into technical conversations

The Role?n You’ll be involved in the end-to-end conflicts process, supporting lawyers and partners globally on a wide range of matters. The work is varied, fast-paced, and commercially focused.

• Managing conflict checks on new matters across multiple jurisdictions

n

• Analysing and resolving legal and commercial conflicts of interest

n

• Advising partners and lawyers on conflict issues, firm policies, and risk considerations

n

• Supporting matter risk assessments, including reputational, sanctions, and financial crime risks

n

• Working closely with financial crime and compliance teams on client onboarding

n

• Assisting with the implementation and management of information barriers

n

• Collaborating with international teams to ensure a consistent and seamless global service

n

• Contributing to process improvements and the development of conflicts systems and tools

n

About you?

n

• Qualified lawyer in England & Wales

n

• Experience in a conflicts, risk, or compliance role within a law firm or professional services environment

n

• Understanding of conflicts of interest and confidentiality obligations

n

• Strong analytical and research skills with excellent attention to detail

n

• Commercial awareness and the ability to assess risk in a practical way

n

• Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels

n

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure

n

n

Exposure to US conflicts rules would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
