Full time, permanent, 37 hours per week, Monday to FridayAbout the roleOur client, a well established charity supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and acquired brain injury, is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced Health & Safety Manager, contributing directly to the development of in house H&S capability across an organisation with around 1,800 employees and 150 locations.This role suits someone with a property, facilities or estate management H&S background who is ready to work at an advisory level, not someone starting out and not someone purely from a warehouse or construction site safety background looking for their next step up.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide competent, timely and proportionate health and safety advice across services, supported living environments and officesPlan and carry out inspections, service visits and audits, producing clear reports with prioritised actionsSupport and lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses, including RIDDOR reportabilityDesign and deliver health and safety briefings and training sessionsMaintain compliance records, KPIs and reporting for internal governanceStep in to cover the H&S Manager when requiredWhat We’re Looking ForHealth and safety experience gained in a property, facilities or estate management settingNEBOSH National General Certificate, or working towards itAdvisory experience, or solid exposure to how an advisor or manager operates day to dayConfidence to work independently and influence managers on safe practiceCare, health, housing or social care sector experience is a bonus, but not essentialWhat’s on OfferGenuine investment in your development, with training and qualification funding available where budget allowsThe chance to help shape an in house H&S function from the ground upA supportive, engaged manager who reviews candidates quicklyHybrid working plus mileage paid for site travelTo apply or find out more, contact Stuart Kingsnorth at BRG.
