Equity Research Analyst, Food, Household, & Personal Care

Overview

In this role you will develop and communicate equity investment theses by building financial models, analyzing global energy markets, and turning insights into actionable research for institutional investors. You will work within a research team to identify trends, perform due diligence, and support product teams in shaping market views. You’ll engage with clients, attend conferences, and contribute to the firm’s reputation through rigorous analysis and governance. This is a chance to establish yourself as a sector expert while supporting Citi’s advisory and investment efforts.

Responsibilities

• build financial models and perform valuation
• write research reports and investment notes
• conduct macroeconomic analysis of the global energy industry
• communicate ideas to institutional investors
• conduct due diligence and collaborate with product teams to identify trends
• interact with institutional clients and facilitate access to management
• arrange company visits, manage relationships and attend industry conferences
• track corporate events and earnings, assess risk and ensure compliance

Key requirements

• Bachelor degree; Master preferred
• experience in equity research or related field
• strong financial modeling and valuation skills
• ability to distill research into investable theses
• awareness of regulatory regimes and compliance (FCA/PRA)
