Panel Beater / MET Technician

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Panel Beater / MET Technician to join a reputable body repair centre located in Crawley.

Duties of the Panel Beater / MET Technician:

• Conduct mechanical diagnostic checks on vehicles before and after repairs
• Perform general mechanical work as required
• Remove, repair, and fit vehicle body panels with precision
• Prepare vehicles and panels for topcoat and clearcoat application
• Identify needed vehicle parts and prepare accurate ordering lists
• Operate repair equipment safely, adhering to company safety standards
• Maintain the highest standards of repair quality and customer satisfaction
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting throughout repair processes

Requirements of the Panel Beater / MET Technician:

• Proven experience as a Panel Beater / MET Technician within vehicle body repair
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Excellent communication skills and a customer care-focused mindset
• Ability to work efficiently within a team under pressure
• Welding experience is highly desirable, but training can be provided
• Recognised qualifications such as ATA or NVQ Level 3 are advantageous
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and general mechanical duties
