Commercial Analyst – Reading – Permanent
I’m working on an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join an established business based in Reading.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly numerate, genuinely strong in Excel and enjoys working with detailed financial data.
You don’t necessarily need to come from a traditional Commercial Analyst background. The hiring team is open to people looking to move into a more commercial/analytical role, provided you have the right numerical ability, Excel skills and a stable career history.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working with and maintaining complex Excel models
- Analysing financial and commercial data
- Updating forecasts, costs and financial information
- Checking and sense-checking data for accuracy
- Producing reports, MI and KPIs
- Supporting the wider business with day-to-day financial analysis
- Working with different teams to gather and validate information
- Presenting numerical information clearly to stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
- Advanced Excel skills are essential
- Strong numerical and analytical ability
- Comfortable working with detailed spreadsheets and financial data
- Accurate, methodical and highly organised
- Able to work independently and take ownership
- Good attention to detail
- A reliable and consistent approach to work
- A stable employment history and an interest in a long-term opportunity
- Previous experience in finance, commercial analysis, FP&A, pricing, data analysis, management accounting or a similar analytical role would be useful — but career changers are welcome
Reading – hybrid (3 days a week minimum in office)
