We’re working with a major UK organisation delivering secure, enterprise-scale data platforms across defence and national security programmes. This is hands-on engineering in operational environments, where scale, resilience and reliability aren’t optional.
**The role**
Design and build modern data platforms and production-grade pipelines across secure cloud environments working alongside engineering and architecture teams on high-volume systems that drive real operational outcomes.
**What you’ll do**
- – Build scalable pipelines across ingestion, processing and serving layers
- – Work with Python, SQL, APIs and distributed data tooling
- – Handle structured and unstructured workloads at scale
- – Integrate multiple sources into modern cloud platforms
- – Collaborate across engineering and delivery on mission-critical programmes
**The environment**
Python, SQL, Spark, Java or Scala · AWS, Azure or GCP · modern distributed and cloud-native architectures
**What we need**
- – Active DV clearance essential
- – Production-scale pipeline experience
- – Strong engineering and platform mindset
- – Big data tooling and cloud ecosystem exposure
- – Comfortable in delivery-focused, secure environments
