ASOS is an online fashion retailer serving customers worldwide. It operates a large digital commerce platform with more than 23 million active customers and over 50 million unique monthly visitors, offering personalized fashion discovery and shopping experiences.

Задачи

• Own the end-to-end design of native Android experiences from discovery through launch, measurement, and iteration
• Design Android experiences across devices, screen sizes, tablets, large screens, foldables, and varied hardware performance levels
• Design and champion reusable Android patterns and components across the app
• Partner with the iOS design counterpart to maintain a coherent cross-platform experience while respecting platform conventions
• Translate design intent into Jetpack Compose-friendly structures, components, and tokens with Android engineers
• Prototype ideas in Figma, code, or AI-assisted tools, including on-device prototypes
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, business partners, and stakeholders to drive delivery and own initiative performance
• Conduct and apply quantitative and qualitative research to validate design decisions
• Use AI tools for exploration, prototyping, and production, and help the wider team build AI fluency
• Champion users and improve accessibility standards, including TalkBack behavior, focus order, touch target sizing, and support for large font and display scaling
• Account for technology, data, and business logic constraints in experience design
• Communicate design decisions, trade-offs, and research findings to influence stakeholders
• Track new AI capabilities, Android releases, Material updates, and emerging interaction patterns

Требования

• Significant experience designing and shipping native Android products with a portfolio demonstrating strong platform craft
• Strong knowledge of Material 3 and the ability to extend it or prioritize brand expression when appropriate
• Experience designing adaptive layouts, large-screen experiences, varied hardware performance, and accessibility settings
• Fluent collaboration with Android engineers and understanding of how Kotlin and Compose affect implementation complexity
• Systems-thinking skills, including designing scalable patterns behind individual flows
• Experience using prototypes to develop and communicate ideas
• Daily experience using AI tools in the design process and interest in AI-driven interaction patterns
• Strong experience with user research and experimentation, translating quantitative and qualitative insights into design decisions
• Expert knowledge of Figma and modern prototyping tools
• Experience building and evolving cross-platform design system patterns
• Clear communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Adaptability, comfort with ambiguity, and a growth mindset
