Remote Golf Course Superintendent

About the Role

Our client is looking for an innovative and experienced Remote Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and agronomic strategy for their network of golf properties. While the role is remote, it requires extensive on-site visits to different locations as needed to ensure optimal course conditions and manage local maintenance teams. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive turfgrass management plans, managing budgets, and ensuring the highest standards of course presentation across all managed sites. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned superintendent to influence quality across multiple locations while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term agronomic plans for turfgrass health and course conditioning.
• Oversee budget development and management for all golf course maintenance operations.
• Implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies and sustainable agronomic practices.
• Manage, train, and motivate on-site course maintenance staff at various locations.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and club policies.
• Regularly visit properties to assess conditions, provide guidance, and oversee projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Turfgrass Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience as a Golf Course Superintendent.
• Extensive knowledge of turfgrass science, irrigation systems, and pest management.
• Proven experience managing large budgets and diverse teams.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to various golf course locations.
