Position Overview:

We are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to work on a range of challenging bridge projects across the UK. This role is perfect for an experienced engineer looking to contribute to high-profile infrastructure and highway schemes while advancing their career in a leading consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting business development efforts.
• Prepare design calculations, specifications, drawings, and project documentation in line with client requirements and industry standards.
• Use software tools such as MIDAS and Autodesk Structural Bridge Design for bridge modelling.
• Lead 3D design in tools like Revit and Civil 3D, ensuring innovative and practical solutions.
• Supervise junior engineers, promoting their professional development.
• Attend project meetings and perform site inspections to ensure design implementation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
• Significant experience in bridge design, preferably in a consultancy environment.
• Experience with civil engineering software tools and BIM workflows.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work well in a team.
