A leading international practice is seeking a Supervising Associate or Managing Associate (3+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Structured Finance & Derivatives team in Bristol. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on sophisticated structured products and derivatives matters for major financial institutions, asset managers and other market participants.
The Role
You’ll work across a broad range of complex structured products and derivatives matters, including:
- Structured debt products, exchange traded products and repackagings
- Structured credit transactions and strategic equity solutions
- Equity and fund linked structures
- Credit risk mitigation arrangements and bespoke financing solutions
- Advising on transaction structuring, execution and regulatory considerations
- Managing significant transaction workstreams and day to day client relationships
- Collaborating with colleagues across Financial Markets, Capital Markets and Financial Regulation
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
- Supporting business development and contributing to the continued growth of the practice
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a technically strong and commercially minded structured products lawyer with:
- 3+ years’ PQE gained within a leading structured finance or derivatives practice
- Experience advising investment banks, asset managers, financial institutions or other sophisticated market participants
- Strong technical skills and confidence managing complex transactions
- Excellent drafting, analytical and transaction management capability
- Ability to take ownership of matters and build strong client relationships
- Collaborative mindset and interest in mentoring junior colleagues
- Commercial awareness and pragmatic problem solving approach
