European Credit Manager

Marc Daniels are recruiting for an experienced European Credit Manager to join a successful international business based in Basingstoke on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the European Credit function, leading and developing a multi-country team while driving cash collection, improving working capital and managing credit risk across the region.

Working closely with Finance, Sales and Customer Service, you will balance strong financial control with a commercial and customer-focused approach.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, managing and developing the European Credit Control team
• Driving cash collection performance and regional DSO targets
• Managing credit risk across new and existing customer accounts
• Developing and maintaining credit policies, controls and processes
• Overseeing credit limits, order release and bad debt exposure
• Partnering with Sales and Customer Service to resolve commercial and customer issues
• Supporting improvements to credit systems, processes and reporting
• Acting as the senior point of contact for credit matters across the European business

The successful candidate will have:

• Significant experience within Credit Management / Credit Control at a senior level
• Previous responsibility for leading a sizeable or geographically diverse team
• Experience working across multiple European markets
• Strong knowledge of credit risk, cash collection, DSO and working capital
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• A commercial mindset with the confidence to challenge and make decisions
• Strong Excel skills; Oracle experience would be advantageous
• ICM qualification would be beneficial but is not essential

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Credit Manager looking to take ownership of a broad European function within a large, international organisation.
