A relationship management role focused on a global law firm’s key client accounts. Not pitches, not proposals, not sales.
Our client, a leading international law firm, is hiring a Client Relations Manager to join its Marketing team in London.
This is a high visibility role sitting at the centre of the firm’s key client programme. You will support partner relationship managers across a portfolio of strategic accounts, most of them US headquartered with a growing EMEA presence, and help turn those relationships into planned, measurable growth.
What you will do
- Partner with relationship managers to develop, execute and benchmark annual client plans
- Facilitate regular meetings between partners, senior stakeholders and key clients
- Analyse client, industry and market data to identify needs and opportunities, then connect the right lawyers to pursue them
- Coordinate with the proposals, pricing, accounting and DEI teams to ensure a joined up approach on each account
- Support account initiatives including client events, briefings and CLE programmes
- Champion the use of marketing dashboards and Salesforce as everyday account management tools
- Guide junior team members on protocols for maintaining client plans and records
What this role is not
This is not a sales or business development role and it is not client facing. Pitching and proposals sit with a separate team. Your focus is the strategy, coordination and momentum behind the firm’s most important relationships.
Who we are looking for
- Currently at manager level in client relations, key account management or client programme management, ready to hit the ground running
- Minimum 5 years in professional services marketing or business development, ideally within a law firm. Consulting firm experience will also be considered
- A self starter who can run their own portfolio and work confidently with partners and senior stakeholders
- Strong grasp of the legal market, with the curiosity to stay on top of EMEA developments
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word; Salesforce experience a plus
The team and structure
You will report to the Associate Director of Client Relations, based in New York, and work alongside colleagues in other US offices. There are no direct reports, and a team coordinator provides support across the group.
