White Horse Employment are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded consumer brand to recruit a Finance Manager into their growing Finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership of a key area of Finance, with a strong focus on hands-on financial analysis, stock, inventory and margin accounting. You’ll be involved in the detail of month-end reporting, standard costing and variance analysis, using the numbers to understand business performance, explain movements and provide clear commercial insight to stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee stock, margin and inventory accounting, including standard costing and variance analysis
- Investigate financial movements and provide clear commentary and insight
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
- Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and accounting processes
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities
- Business partner with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business
- Support cash flow, balance sheet management and year-end processes
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting through automation and technology
- Support wider finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Strong stock, inventory or margin accounting experience
- Background in manufacturing, retail or a complex inventory environment
- Strong standard costing and variance analysis experience
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator able to explain technical finance clearly
- Inquisitive, proactive and focused on continuous improvement
