Job Description
We are seeking a Consultant for our Real Estate Consulting (REC) team. The role focuses on health and social care clients across the country, identifying and testing the feasibility of real estate investment opportunities, building investment cases and advising on best decisions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare business cases (SOC/OBC/FBC), estate and property strategies, target operating models and change management plans.
- Own client relationships across all levels, ensuring clear and confident communication.
- Support the development of healthcare estate strategies and project plans.
- Deliver persuasive recommendations, challenge key decisions, and influence stakeholders.
- Apply programme, project, capital projects and contract management techniques.
- Analyse and present complex data sets to support solutions.
- Collaborate as a team player, stay calm under pressure and travel as required.
Essential Qualifications
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Bachelor’s degree).
- Project Management Qualification (e.g., Prince2, MSP) or equivalent experience.
- Business case writing skills and experience with the HM Treasury 5‑case model.
- Experience managing change across multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Strong planning, organisational and time‑management skills.
- Knowledge of the HM Treasury 5‑case model and supporting business case authoring.
- Experience working with large data sets.
- Excellent interpersonal, persuasion and influencing skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload autonomously.
- Clear understanding of data management best practices.
Desirable Qualifications
- Industry qualification in surveying, engineering, finance or accounting.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Better Business Case Accreditation.
- Experience with strategic infrastructure programmes in large or complex organisations.
- Project manager experience in health or social care services.
- Ability to lead and develop major capital investment business cases.
- Demonstrated resilience in dealing with challenges and resistance.
- Proficiency with data tools such as MS Excel and Power BI to deliver insightful analyses.
