Corporate Tax Manager (60/40 split typical compliance to advisory)

The important work you will be doing:
- Reviewing corporation tax returns and computations for a varied client base
- Contributing to a range of advisory projects, including succession planning, management buyouts, share schemes, and R&D tax relief
- Handling tax queries on behalf of clients
- Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs and other third parties as required
- Communicating directly with clients to resolve queries arising during the preparation of annual tax returns and ongoing advisory work
- Supporting senior colleagues in the delivery of tax planning advice
- Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring all corporate tax returns and computations are prepared and submitted within statutory deadlines
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Advising clients on tax liabilities and payment deadlines
- Managing work in progress across your portfolio, ensuring fees are raised and issued promptly upon completion
- Effectively managing time to achieve strong recovery rates while accurately charging time to clients
- Meeting with prospective clients to discuss their tax affairs and requirements
