About the Senior Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical & Engineering Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical & Engineering, you will be pivotal in managing the financial and contractual aspects of various mechanical and engineering projects. This role requires a professional with a strong background in quantity surveying, particularly within mechanical or engineering sectors.
Candidate Responsibilities
- Managing all costs relating to mechanical and engineering projects from inception to completion
- Preparing tender reports, budgets, and cost plans
- Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors
- Conducting risk assessments and value engineering to maximize project profitability
- Managing subcontractor and supplier invoices, ensuring accurate payments and validations
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborating with project managers and engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Providing regular financial updates to stakeholders and senior management
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, specifically within mechanical and engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of contractual and commercial procedures
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
