Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading engineering company, in their search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to be based from their head office in Shropshire.What our client is offering for the successful Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer :

• £35.000 P/A
• Monday to Thursday 7.45AM to 4.30PM & Friday 7.45AM to 12.30PM (Days position)
• Permanent position

The Role – Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on manufacturing equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
• Responding to machinery breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime
• Maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
• Assisting with machinery installations, upgrades, and project work
• Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations
• Updating maintenance records using CMMS systems
• Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Liaising with production teams to maximise equipment performance

What our client is looking for in the successful Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, HND, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a manufacturing, xwwtmva production, FMCG, food, packaging, automotive, or industrial environment
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and inverters
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
