About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students with SEND, both in and out of the classroomImplement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniquesWork 1:1 or with small groups to help pupils re-engage with learningBuild trusting, professional relationships that promote positive behaviourAssist teachers in creating a safe, structured and inclusive learning environmentContribute to behaviour plans and pastoral support programmesAccess to a Vehicle.
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with young people with SEND (school, youth work, mentoring or similar)Strong communication, resilience and emotional intelligenceAbility to remain calm under pressure and use positive behaviour strategiesA genuine commitment to helping pupils overcome barriers to learningTeam‑working skills and a proactive approacha minimum of 6 months of experience in a school or child related setting
