Is this the next step in your career Find out if you are the right candidate by reading through the complete overview below.Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4pm – 4amSalary: £48,000 – £55,000 per annumLocation: ThetfordTEC Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join a growing precision engineering company based in Thetford.This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist looking to join a stable and well-established manufacturing environment with long-term career prospects.The RoleThe position will involve setting and operating CNC Turning machines to manufacture precision engineered components to customer specifications and engineering drawings.Key responsibilities include: * Setting and operating CNC Turning Centres * Tooling selection and machine set-up * Adjusting offsets and machine parameters * Producing components to tight tolerances * Performing quality inspection checks * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings * Supporting continuous production output * Maintaining health & safety standards within the workshopRequirementsThe ideal candidate will have: * Previous experience as a CNC Setter/Operator * CNC Turning / Lathe experience * Experience with Fanuc, Siemens or Mitsubishi controls * Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances xwwtmva * Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers * Experience working within a manufacturing or production environmentDesirable Experience * DMG MORI or Citizen machinery * Multi-axis turning * Live tooling * Minor program editing * Continuous improvement / production optimisation experienceTo find out more information about this role, reach out to Chris at TEC Partners……
