They are looking for an experienced Production Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day production operation and lead a team of around 20 people.You’ll manage 2 Team Leaders and around 20 operatives, so this role is very much about getting the best from your team. You’ll need to be a confident and approachable manager who can develop people, manage performance and create a positive working environment.The Role of the Production Manager –You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing and developing the production team and Team Leaders.
- Planning and managing day-to-day production priorities.
- Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety.
- Making sure the team has the equipment, resources and support they need.
- Identifying and implementing improvements across production.
- Supporting changes to equipment, processes and the production environment.
- Working with other departments to keep production running effectively.
What we’re looking for in the Production Manager –
- You’ll need previous experience as a Production Manager, Production Leader or similar within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Strong people management skills are essential. The business is particularly interested in someone who can demonstrate how they’ve developed their team, supported individuals and dealt with performance issues.
- A strong attitude towards Health & Safety is also important and will be explored during the interview process. xwwtmva
- Experience in low-volume, bespoke or configure to order manufacturing would be useful, as would experience of continuous improvement or working through operational change.
