Your new roleAs a Flood Risk Management Consultant, you will play a key role in the delivery of a wide range of flood risk and water environment projects. You will be involved in projects from initial concept through to detailed design and delivery, supporting public and private sector clients.Key responsibilities will include:
Undertaking flood risk assessments (FRAs) and hydraulic modellingSupporting the design and development of flood alleviation schemesWorking on catchment management and nature-based solutionsPreparing technical reports and liaising with stakeholdersCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering and environmental disciplines
What you’ll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, xwwtmva Hydrology, or a related disciplineExperience in flood risk management, hydrology, or hydraulic modellingKnowledge of relevant software (e.g. Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM or similar)Understanding of UK/Ireland flood risk policy and regulationsStrong analytical and report-writing skillsWorking towards (or already achieved) professional chartership (ICE, CIWEM or equivalent)What you’ll get in return In return, you will receive:
