This is an exciting opportunity to join my clients Development & House Building team. You will be assisting fee earners on transactional matters and working collaboratively on a variety of development related transactions.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Supporting fee earners with drafting option agreements, deeds, and contracts.• Undertaking due diligence and preparing reports.• Assisting with acquisitions and disposals of development land, plot sales, planning, and construction matters.• Supporting secured acquisition and development finance transactions.• Learning about and contributing to processes and documents for plot sales.• Training seminars and workshop programmes for employer clients.• Communicating with team members, clients, and third parties involved in transactions.• Developing knowledge of the planning system and its implications for development transactions.• Participating in business development activities and building relationships within the development community.• Identifying risks and concerns, and proposing practical and commercial solutions.
Skills, Attributes & Experience:
• Some experience and an interest in development transactions is required.• Strong drafting skills, verbal and written communication skills.• Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to break down complex tasks into manageable components.• Enthusiasm to learn, ask questions, and share opinions.• A practical and commercial mindset, with resourcefulness and a strong work ethic.• You must also be able to apply the law with a degree of commerciality and be prepared to give your viewpoint to clients.• Willingness to engage in marketing and business development activities
