Company overview: Edwards Transport (Shropshire) Limited is a storage and distribution business based in Market Drayton, Shropshire. Role description: This is a full-time, on-site role, based at our Hinstock site (TF9 2SR). You will handle inbound and outbound customer communications, mainly by phone and email providing timely information on deliveries, timings, and service options, whilst helping to resolve the issues which arise daily in such an operation. Co-ordinating with drivers and operations staff to ensure an efficient, high quality service. The role involves updating systems with relevant information, and following established procedures to support service quality. The role will also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, suggesting process enhancements, and supporting a very high level of customer service.
Qualifications required:
- You should possess strong customer service and customer support skills to handle queries, resolve issues, and provide clear, professional assistance.
- You should possess excellent phone etiquette skills to communicate clearly, courteously, and efficiently with customers and internal departments.
- Good organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
- You will be comfortable working with basic computer systems, customer databases, and office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets), and be able to produce KPI information.
- Previous experience in customer service, logistics, or transportation is beneficial but not essential; training can be provided.
- Ability to work on-site in Market Drayton, own transport is essential. Hours 07.00-16.00. M-F.
