Frontend Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design and evolve real-time, map-based interfaces that power immersive dashboards and mission tools for sensor-rich data. You’ll drive a responsive, data-heavy UI that works across platforms, balancing detail with a smooth user experience. You’ll work in a lean, autonomous team on fast feedback cycles, delivering live demos, pilots, and short deployments. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape how operators interact with high-fidelity imagery and large datasets in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect and iterate real-time, map-based OS interfaces for dashboards and mission tools.
• Build immersive, data-driven UI interacting with high-fidelity imagery, large datasets, and hardware sensor data.
• Balance responsiveness with data richness across multiple data streams while keeping UX intuitive.
• Engage in fast feedback loops through live demos, pilots, and short-cycle deployments.

Key requirements

• 3+ years of front-end software experience in data-rich or remote-sensing environments
• Experience building responsive, cross-platform interfaces and data visualisations
• Familiarity with tactical/operational mapping platforms (ATAK/CivTAK/WinTAK) and concepts like mission overlays and live asset tracking
• Fluency in TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks such as React; experience with modern CSS frameworks
• Experience with Swift, Kotlin or React Native
• Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy within a lean, capable team
• This role is 100% onsite; resident within commutable distance
