In this Structural Team Lead role, you will guide and grow the Structural Engineering division within Stantec’s South Water offices. You’ll provide regional leadership, high-level technical input, and hands-on project delivery using advanced techniques. You’ll mentor the team, manage budgets and timelines, and foster strong client relationships across multiple locations. Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and development for the Structural Group across the region
• Deliver structural design expertise to meet project needs using state-of-the-art techniques
• Drive collaboration with Pune for improved integration
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards
• Influence stakeholders through technical excellence and communication
• Plan and coordinate resources with group managers
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design, survey, project, and contract management practices
• Liaise with clients to build trust in the Structural Group’s capabilities
• Provide technical training and mentoring to staff as required
• Review and quality-check colleagues’ work and prioritise core activities
• Support and develop team members across the region
• Build relationships with new clients and key stakeholders
• Adopt a hands-on approach to project delivery

Key requirements

• Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution ( e.g. IStructE, ICE)
• Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or related subject; knowledge of water retaining structures
• Experience in managing and mentoring junior staff
• Experience overseeing project budgets and timelines for structural engineering aspects
• Ability to prepare and review technical documents, reports and proposals
