Director, Supply Chain

Overview

As Director of Supply Chain, you will build a scalable, automated supply chain engine that accelerates Zapp’s growth. You’ll own and extend Zeppelin, shaping forecasting, stock, and allocation to improve availability while reducing manual work. You’ll lead a team engineered for scale and partner with Commercial, Tech, and Finance to enable faster range, launches, and growth. This role offers ownership of end-to-end supply chain strategy with a strong impact on customer satisfaction and margins.

Responsibilities

• Build and run a scalable Supply Chain team focused on growth, not headcount
• Define and measure KPIs; hold the team accountable quarterly
• Own and enhance Zeppelin (reorder logic, targets, safety stock, FC allocation)
• Lead automation initiatives to reduce manual, repetitive work across Supply Chain
• Dive into SKU, supplier, and routing details to inform strategic plans
• Shape availability and waste strategies as the catalog expands
• Combine forecasting with negotiation to optimize margins and working capital
• Maintain a customer-obsessed stance across availability, waste, and cost
• Collaborate with Commercial, Tech and Finance to enable faster range, launches and growth

Key requirements

• Experience leading a Supply Chain, Inventory or Planning function at scale
• Track record of building forecasting and automation systems that enable growth
• Strong data fluency; able to build and challenge models in SQL, BI tools or equivalents
• Builder’s mindset with ambition to scale a function
• Strong stakeholder management across Commercial, Tech, Ops and Finance
